Monovant's innovative 'phygital' concept allows enthusiasts to interact with digital versions of their timepieces through a virtual showroom and extends to virtual worlds like Decentraland and VRChat, offering virtual wearables. This stunning watch boasts a deep blue dial crafted from lapis lazuli, a semi-precious metamorphic stone. The stainless steel case, with its polished finish and tonneau-inspired shape, exudes elegance. The case back is meticulously embossed and numbered, and the screw-down crown ensures a water resistance of 50 meters, making it suitable for everyday wear and light swimming. The sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating protects the dial, and an anti-fingerprint coating adds a practical touch. The watch comes with a stainless steel bracelet with polished center links and a butterfly clasp, as well as a purple rubber or black leather strap option. A matching lapis lazuli bracelet is also included – a delightful bonus!
The dial itself is a work of art, featuring a VVS (Very, Very Slightly Included) diamond at the 12 o'clock position. The diamond, though small at 0.1ct, adds a touch of sparkle. The design is minimalist, with the brand logo and a triangular marker at the 6 o'clock and 12 o'clock positions, respectively. The partially open-worked hands are polished and filled with Super-LumiNova BGW9 inserts, ensuring legibility in all lighting conditions.
Inside, the Rheon Royal Lapis is powered by a Sellita SW200-1 automatic movement, a direct alternative to the ETA 2824. This movement features 26 jewels, operates at 28,800vph (4Hz), and offers a 42-hour power reserve. The movement has also been modified for enhanced shock resistance.
But here's where it gets interesting: The Monovant Rheon Royal Lapis is limited to only 99 pieces. It's available for preorder at EUR 970, with a retail price of EUR 1,250. Deliveries are scheduled for late October and November.
